My name is Celia Merritt. I a Lieutenant for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. I have been working as a public servant for over 14 years, and prior to that I volunteered at several local fire departments starting at the age of 14. I have a bachelors degree in Public Health and have studied and obtained degrees in a variety of other fields as well. I have been in lending for several years now and thoroughly enjoy helping families during their home buying process. I have a beautiful daughter Rylee and absolutely love every second I have with her. When I am not working, I volunteer with the American Lung Association, the Tunnels to Tower Foundation and enjoy working on special projects at Moffitt Cancer Center as well. I love serving my community and making a difference whenever I can; the ability to impact even one life in a positive way is enough motivation to wake up every day and move forward.
I was given the opportunity to learn about and be a part of Heroes Housing several years ago. The mission of giving back to the people who serve the community and who are willing to sacrifice for their community and country, is a blessing and I am grateful to be a part of the organization. As a loan officer, I am able to facilitate getting families into their homes and giving them a safe place to rest, live and enjoy the time they have with their family. I am honored and delighted to be a part of Heroes Housing. Have a blessed day.
